Along with Wynn Resort's recently filed 10-Q with the SEC, some details about the Encore project are available.

Currently, the de-facto expansion of Wynn Las Vegas will feature 1,550 rooms, of which 300 are suites.

Encore will open in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2008.

I thought Encore was going to be all suites.

'All Suites' in Vegas parlance doesn't mean 'all suites'.

They claim the Venetian is 'all suites' but I don't consider those standard rooms 'suites'.

Encore will have large standard rooms and also multi-room units, which is what we're calling suites.

I believe a "suite" as defined in Las Vegas is a room with a seperate area for a "living room". this all started at the Rio which was the first all suite hotel. In most other markets this is called a jr. suite. A full suite usually requires that the living room be a seperate room from the sleeping area.

Hunter or detriot,
Do you know the square footage of the rooms @ encore?

Posted by: Mark on August 10, 2005 12:01 PM

The final designs haven't been completed. Rumors have them anywhere from 600 to 900 square feet.

Is Encore at Wynn going to have 1,500 accommodations or 2,700 accommodations. How many will be suites and how large will the suites be in square footage.

As stated here, the company is currently shooting for 1,550 rooms.

Do you know if Wynn Resorts will bring back their Keno lounge at The Encore?

Posted by: keith rossi on August 1, 2007 10:47 AM

May I ask again? Will the Encore have a keno lounge? I hope so.

Posted by: Keith Rossi on December 31, 2007 8:11 PM

Keith Rossi, I doubt that Encore will have a Keno lounge. As the properties go even more high-end, it's more profitable to use the space for retail or casino expansion. As long as they offer keno in coffee shops, that probably satisfies most people. You should call Wynn and ask. When Wynn opened in 2005, it seemed strange that keno was down the hall toward the Country Club, near the buffet and retail.
