Boyd has been talking up their expansion of the Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ.

At the same time, all eyes are on their Stardust site in Las Vegas - will there be a Borgata Las Vegas on the horizon?

I was just there yesterday and some construction work is already under way for a previously planned expansion due to open in 2006. My understanding is that it will expand the casino, add new restaraunts and increase the poker room to 85 tables.

As a West Coaster, I can count my trips to AC on one hand.

Looking at Boyd's site, I don't see much more detail.

Maybe another reader can give some info?

Here is what I know about the new tower.

The Water Club at Borgata, will feature four pools, a two-story "spa in the sky," six retail shops and 18,000 square feet of meeting space in the glass hotel tower. Of the 800 guest rooms, 750 will be "classic," and there will be 20 suites and 15 two-bedroom suites, four of which will be corner suites with "media-rich mini theaters."
