More Comments For New Frontier

  • Have stayed at the Frontier numerous times over the past ten year. This is our home away from home. Rooms have always been clean and the staff is usually very pleasent. This is not Wynn or Venetian, but then the prices you are paying are not Wynn or Venetian. The location is great and you are in wallking distance of TI, Mirage, Wynn and Riveria.

  • Total dive. Ended up here when I was in town for a trade show in August 04. Rooms were barely adequate (in a Motel 6 kinda way). Whole place looks like a crime scene waiting to happen. They can't implode it soon enough

  • We stayed at the New Frontier in May 2006 for a conference. It is in total disrepair. Our room was clean, but sparsely furnished. The tub/shower was falling apart - grout had pulled away from the walls. We wore shoes in the shower because it was so old/dirty. The elevators and public areas are dirty and worn down. The Orchard Cafe restaurant was a food poisoning waiting to happen. The walls of the booths and the tables are sticky and visibly dirty. The water in the hot tub was cloudy and scalding. The water in the pool was clear, but the paint was chipping all around the sides and garbage had collected in the bottom of the pool at the drain that was never cleaned. The tables around the pool were covered in spills and stains and the pool chairs were falling apart. The pavement in the pool area was never hosed down, even in areas where it was clear that people had vomited. I could go on and on, but suffice to say that I felt I had to be disinfected when I got home. The rate was very cheap ($69.95).

  • Will never enter this casino again. I'll spend my money with the other casinos on the strip or down on Freemont Street. The bartender was a complete jerk who should stick to pouring drinks and opening beers instead of opening his cake hole. My husband and I played the slots at the bar and this bartender leaned over my machine from the bar and said we had to play max credits continuously in order to get a free beer. When we looked at him in bewilderment he said "Christmas just came early, Merry Christmas. I got five cameras on me and you two need to play more credits." We left. 3 million people in Las Vegas and this is the only ass&%#$ we came across. Can't wait for the building to fall and something better built in it's place. If you feel the urge to go here, leave big tips for the staff so they can buy new attitudes.

  • we stayed here for our anniversary, we weren't able to get into our usual-the riviera- due to a pool tournament. well, lucky us! the toilet and air was not working in our room, the nice man at the front desk moved us to a room he said we would be very pleased with. we get to our room and he had put us in a suite in the old tower! afetr being there for a day, gambling, my husband contacted the histess there, johnna, about which restaurant was the best. she suggested gilley's, since my husband is a meat and potatos guy. fabulous! and come to find out our meals were comped. we had stayed at other places and gambled lots to recieve comps and were lucky to get a key chain or maybe a t shirt. johnna and the frontier staff treated us wonderfully! we never stay any where else. definately stay here if you like old vegas feel, excellent comps and great customer service. it's not the fanciest place, but we don't go to vegas to be seen, we go to have a good time.

  • PLACE IS A DUMP! STAY AWAY!

  • The room rating depends on the room you get. If you get one in the old 7 story tower, then the room is junk. If you get one of those Atrium Suite rooms, then you are styling. Those suite rooms are nice and large. You can easily fit 4 people in the room. The pool is basically just a rectangular shaped hole in the ground with water in it. The service is horrible. Called for an extra pillow and they refused to bring a pillow down because they were out of pillows and we already had enough (we hadn't called for any before they told us). This place is a dive and the only point of staying here is because it's next to Le Reve (when it opens it will be across the street).

  • Very underrated hotel. Rooms are quite comfortable - plenty of closet and drawer space, large bathroom with lots of counter space, good cable TV selection, very comfortable mattresses, and outstanding water pressure in the shower! People tend to look down on this place because it's old, but the hotel is very nice and the location is great.

  • If the word "implosion" doesn't quite seem appropriate for the Frontier; how about "atomization". But let's make sure we continue to support our union brethren who triggered this outcome with the longest running strike since the work stoppage at the Tower of Babylon.

  • Good value for money. The Atrium suites are pretty large for the price, but everything seems a little run-down. Excellent access from the rear parking lot to the suites. This place is going to be torn down in the next year or so, so don't expect any improvemnts. Location is pretty good. Restaurants are generally mediocre or worse.
