More Comments For Orleans

My family traveled to Las Vegas three times in the past five years, and we always stay at the Orleans. For the price, the size of the rooms can't be beat. It has a lot of amenities for the kids- inexpensive bowling, a movie theater, a great pool and a games arcade to keep them busy. The Orleans also has a wide variety of restaurants for any taste, from fancy to hamburgers, as well as two national chains (TGI Fridays and Subway) located inside. The shuttle bus takes you to the strip if you want to see the sights or gamble elsewhere. We have never been disappointed by our stay at the Orleans.

BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!! Large casino, nice rooms, better beds than Belagio and a friendly feel. Good blend of locals and tourists, fair slots and good table games. The free shuttle between the different properties gives you a convenient and cheap way to get to the other Coast Casinos, on or off the strip. You getto see a lot more of Las Vegas and save 100 bucks in cab fares over your stay. Also, has resonably priced eating establishments and the best prime rib place in town (and reasonable). The Prime Rib Loft has great food and is a lovely placeto relax and enjoy the best of Vegas!

My husband and I go to Vegas about 3 times a year and love staying at the Orleans. Super friendly people, excellent bed!, tons of great restaurants, huge poker room and have never been disappointed. The rate is much better than the "strip" hotels and you can take the shuttle to the strip very easily. Highly recommend The Orleans! Have stayed there about 9 times.

Rooms were very clean the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Had to ask 3 x's for extra pillows though. Any food we had was very--very good the Courtyard Cafe was impressive with the speed that they served you and also the ammount of food--wow you didn't leave hungry. Everyone was very nice my only complaint was the Cocktail Waitress'es were hard to find. We sat an hour at the Slots once and no one came by once to offer us a drink. We had to ask. I like the fact that Security is on the ball there so you feel safe and secure. Just wish they had more then 1 Gift shop.

The Orleans was a delightful stay for us. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the restaurants were wonderful. We ate at the Buffet (DO NOT miss the Monday night Seafood night!), the coffee shop, the Italian restaurant (You won't believe the prices! LOW!) and the Mexican Restaurant. We enjoyed the coffee shop and ice cream parlor as well. The casino had lots of fun games (we are slot players) and we would absolutely come again. ONE negative...they charge $11 or so per day for high speed internet...Come on guys...even on vacation, we business types take our laptops and need this. It's FREE at a Super 8 for cryin' our loud! We WOULD stay again!

We had a very pleasant stay here. The hotel was nice and the casino was the best I played in. They have reasonable limits and very friendly dealers.

Last June my husband and I decided to come to Vegas. We decided we were going to stay off the strip. We had visited Orleans prior to our last trip and that is what made our decision to stay there. It was worth it and I would definitely do it again. The service was great the valet parking you never had to wait more than 5 minutes for the car even when it was crowded. The rooms where excellent in cleaniness. The elevators never had to wait as soon as you push the button one was there. The cafe the service was great. I nothing bad to say about this place. We enjoyed the casino there was plenty of machines and tables for every one. I might have not won big but win enough to keep me playing. Plus the rates are reasonable. Since I have been going to Vegas about 25yrs I can see how much Corporation has taken over on the Strip and it all about money. Years ago you could get a rooms cheap and eat cheap. Now it is the bigger restaurants with the bigger prices. I would advise anyone who doesn't have a large bank account and want to stil have fun. Stay off the Strip if you are staying over. The hotel have buses that run to the strip if you don't want to rent a car. Judy Alfano

The Orleans is one of the best off-strip hotels in Vegas. All standard rooms are a huge 450 square feet. No rooms are 300 sf as this web-site indicates. The bathrooms are good size, with the tub and toilet in one room with a small window you can open. There's a second telephone next to the toilet. The sink is in another room with a sliding door that hides the entire bathroom area; a unique and quite functional setup. Your standard room has a sofa, chair and cocktail table in a sitting area next to the window. The furniture is not beat up and the rooms are always very clean and look new. The beds have foam mattresses that are just wonderful. The east-facing rooms give you a panorama of the entire strip from the Stratosphere to Mandalay Bay. At check-in, all register guests receive a 'fun book' with restaurant discounts, free drinks at the Orleans, Gold Coast, Barbary Coast, & Suncoast, 2-1 showroom tickets, free gift, etc. The food served in every restaurant is prepared and served with high quality. The great buffet is huge, with 8 islands and multiple selections of desserts, BBQ, seafood, American, Mongolian, Italian, and Asian. The pool is area is large and cut off from other tourists, with a room key required for entry. The area is nicely laid out, with cocktail service available. The extremely appealing casino is loaded with every variation of Video Poker imaginable. Table limits are low during the day, with $3 blackjack and 50 cent roulette. A free shuttle runs about every 20 minutes to/from the Barbary Coast in the center of the strip and the Gold Coast (next to the Rio and Palms). It runs from 9:30 am to midnight daily. The Orleans is viewed as one of the best values in LV. You will not get a room, service, food, and comps for this price anywhere on the strip. Staying at a non-strip location gives you a different feeling. On the strip, a few hundred thousand tourists with baby carriages are ambling through your hotel daily and youre stuck right in the middle of them. This place has everything youll want and youll want to come back.

We stay here often. Reasonable prices. The suite rooms are very nice if you want to upgrade.

I stay here probably 4 times a year. A lot of casino and hotel for the money. Good restuarants at affordable prices. I' ve always enjoyed my stay here.

We were there Christmas night. I can't say I'd be a nice as the staff if I had to work that day. Front desk was wonderful, Player's Club also! The bed was rock hard and the room needed to freshing, but good for the $$. Slots were not kind to me, but, that's pretty normal. I'd recommend it for someone budget concious but still wanting a nice place.

Really big rooms -- every room has a little sitting area. The Strip view (if you get one) is amazing. Very clean, secure, and quiet.

Took a long weekend and stayed at the Orleans from Thursday Oct. 14-Saturday Oct. 16. I was a bit leery staying off of the strip, but the Orleans was great! The staff was friendly and efficient at check-in, the standard room was huge and the bathroom was great. I was able to get a strip view at no extra charge. The spa rocked! I went there on Friday for a treatment and on Saturday just to use the facilities. I will definitely be returning to the spa during my next trip. I would definitely stay here again. Sue

Great value! Room was very clean, service was excellent from check in to check out! Great mountain view!

Room was comfortable, large and well maintained. Staff was awesome, especially at check-in and housekeeping. I highly recommend this property. Great deals to be found in the coupon book given at check-in (we saved big bucks on show tickets using the provided coupon and received a number of free drinks). Buffet was a great deal, little crowded but good food, not the best food mind you, but for the price a steal. Prime Rib loft was disappointing. Poor/slow service and food only mediocre. Wife loved the spa and I loved the cocktail waitress uniforms (best in Vegas!). Pool was closed for the season when we visited.

We were allowed to combine two separate mailed free room offers, so stayed five nights. This is our favorite place; great offers, food, casino and CWs. Previously stayed at most Strip properties, but this is our new home.

450 square feet in a standard room, great space with a couch, table, and a separate vanity than the bathroom that can be closed off for privacy. There are 2 phones (one in the bathroom), ironing board and iron, hair dryer, ask for a room with a view of the strip. Very satisfied, and the prices are phenomenal. Don't miss the breakfast at the French Market Buffet for les than six dollars, the widest array of stations, both international and american, and the largest dessert island I have ever seen! The food is fabulous. The casino is huge!

The room was very good, but if you have a back problem, this place has lousy mattresses. Nothing but a box string with a 6 inches piece of foam as a mattress. Awoke with a backache every morning.

Just in from The Orleans, we stayed three nights and service was very good. The room was just as shown in photos. Housekeeping did a great job. The casino is fabulous. Cocktail waitresses never let my glass run dry. They were friendly, and fast! Halloween was jumping, it was a full house! Security checks for room keys when you go up. (I liked that a lot) Can't wait to go again. You won't find a better value for the money.

Gorgeous room...woulda been perfect if our remote control wasn't broken, but otherwise, perfect.
