More Comments For Stardust

  • My wife & I stayed at the Stardust & when we arrived the woman at the check-in counter smiled and gave us an upgrade to a suite just below the top floor. The room was amazing, it looked like a fully furnished house. Sunken tub with jacuzzi, big screen tv. Its too bad their tearing it down.

  • We have stayed at the Stardust for many years now and just returned from our last visit there. The Stardust is coming down on 11/1 to make room for a new one expected to be ready in 2010

  • Your information on Stardust at the top of the page is incorrect - it says it does not have a wedding chapel, but it does. We were there in Dec and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Host was wonderful. Gave us limo ride to and from the airport. Room was standard but sufficient. Ate most of our meals there and even as low rollers everything was comped at the end of our stay. Even got $200 cash back from our play. Ate ate every restaurant except the sushi joint and found the food very good. Would definitely stay there again. Sorry to hear they're going to blow up a good thing.

  • The Stardust is an older casino. But if you want to keep more of your money to play, etc. The Stardust is a great value. the tower rooms are nice, some have a nice strip view some don't. But If you don't plan on spending much time in your room, I would recommend The Stardust for value. Go visit and view those costly casinos, but stay at the Stardust. RMW,Pa.

  • We had a great time here the beds where not hard and everything looked clean. We stayed in a Spa suit and it was wonderful. We also had a great view from the Stardust. Slots where kinda tight but not as tight as most of the Strip Clubs.

  • !st room no a/c, 2nd room stank of mildew and filthy. Staff should learn how to be polite. Food unedible even for free. Casino personnel rude at tables and invisible at slots. Pool closed for private convention. Drinks in casino swell water in jelly glass. What a dumb. Price good but not even worth what you get. Good way to ruin a vacation.

  • Of all the old school properties on the strip, the Stardust is the best. The staff is friendly and conversational. The drink service in the Casion is great. The slots are playfull and the whole place is well maintained. I'm sure they will blow it up soon, but I hope they somehow keep the old school flavor with whatever replaces it. The newer mega resorts are fun to visit, but their empolyees are ruder, their slots are tighter, their food is overpriced and they're much to big (not easy to navigate) I will continue staying at the Stardust before durring and after the renovation, as long as they don't ruin it.

  • The Stardust shows its age, and not very well. It can be a good deal but that's where it ends.

  • Would never stay at the stardust dump again!!! The shift bosses all think there mafia or something, really on some kind of power trip!! Thalked to a boss joe davi, what a waste of time.Would not help me on anything and does not know how to talk!!!!!!So tried to talk to a mr roth, another idiot!!!!! I think they think they own the dump, just there to get a paycheck!!!!! Beware spend a few more dollars and stay somewhere else, the stardust is no bargain, just cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Have been going to the Stardust for past 15 years twice a year. Rooms always clean, furnishings always up to date. Have never had a complaint with my room.Never had a complaint about food lots to choose from.Snack bar food very tastey. Prices for buffet keep going up getting a little too pricey if you aren't a big eater. Got rid of unfriendly women in the change booths, lots of automated change machines . Will be sorry when they tear it down as won't know where to go.

  • Beware!!!!This Stardust Sucks!!!! It is the worst and most dirtiest place I have ever stayed at!!!! The Shift Bosses are all on some kind of Power trip!!!! All very RUDE!!! and unfriendly!!! Lost alot of money and would not comp room!! Cheap Place and Bosses!!!!! Would not ever recommend staying there!!!

  • I liked the location. Parking is right outside the door so it really wastn't that far to haul in the luggage. Rooms were a little dated but clean. Price was right. One free night. Security at night which was nice. They checked to see if we were guest.

  • Unlike previous commenter we we able to check in in the morning. We love the east tower because of the balconies. Even though the builidng is only 7 stories high and is rather old, we enjoy sitting on the balcony in the evening with our cocktails and watching the traffic on the strip. Bathrooms rather small and dark although tub/shower is large.

  • I have to compliment the Stardust. As most of the people that stay here for the first time, I was very pleasently surprised. My wife and I stayed on some comped rooms we had won, (I work for an airline). They gave us a room on the 28th floor. The rooms in this new tower have a fabulous view! Yes there are better views, but for the price you can get some really good pictures of the strip and you can see the strobe lights at the "Ghostbar" (a club at the palms casino) bouncing all night. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom was large with a decent sized shower, the only drawback that I had was that the hallways were blazing hot! Heat rises and at 28 stories the 115 degrees of vegas summer were rough in the halls. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend this casino to anyone.

  • This is an old school resort...rooms are functional, with all the usual stuff..bathrooms are large enough..well stocked..excellent water pressure..TV gets all you need..since they want you in the casino to begin with.. Being old school, having a room at the end of hallway can be something of a hike..but that's not a major issue..drink service is fine..eye candy is avaliable throughout the Strip..the Stardust has some middle aged honeys who understand what drink service is all about..all the latest slot and video poker avaliable with plenty of tables..the creme de lecreme of Sportsbooks..

  • The rooms are all average. The place where they get a higher rating is how high and if they can get you a room overlooking the south strip. Just be sure to ask for the 32nd floor as I believe that is the highest floor for low rollers. The view is incredible. The bathroom is just an average bathroom. The pool is just a rectangle with water in it. The pool area is not even large. I would have given them a better rating for service, but the check-in counter makes you wait until noon before they will even talk to you to see if they can check you in. The rest of the casino had good service though.

  • We had reservations for the tower, but it was full and we got put in the motor lodge. This was the 2 dirtiest rooms we've had in Vegas. After changing 2 rooms, we gave up. Staff was nice. Never again.

  • dump is the only word that comes to mind carpet frayed, rooms smell, housekeeping non-existant

  • This was my first time stepping foot in the stardust. This trip, I was looking for the old, 50's-60's felling (you know, the original oceans 11 feel). Well... most of that was covered over in the 80's, but a lot of it is still there. The service at the front desk was great (speedy and friendly) I was lucky enough to get the room I wanted, the old east tower 6th floor southern view. I was not dissapointed. The room was decorated tastfully. The bathroom was laid out with two people in mind and although the fixtures need up-dating, the bathroom was the 50's feeling I was after. I Never waited more than 30 seconds for the elevator. This is the only hotel on the strip with balconys (that I know of) and that is a great feature. Great view and a nice place to unwind. The jacuzzi is great. It has a hot waterfall and a great seat under it. As good as a $60 massage and it never closes. I was there at 3:00AM and the security guard walked by and said hi. The buffet was, well how should I put this, it really, really sucked. Avoid the buffet at all costs. The buffett coupon (issued at check-in) can be redeemed in the cafe, it's worth $7.50. I highly recommend doing that. The casino was just the right size and well laid out. I is not very well ventilated and quite smokey, but I'm a smoker so- what the hell. The slots were loose and I won about $400.00. The cocktail waitresses were always checking up on my drink status. If you're looking for a flashey, pretentious, hip, gen-X place, this isn't it. If you like walking about 43 miles to get a cup of coffee, the Stardust isn't for you. This resort is just right, not too big or too small. It's a little tired but overall, it's well maintained. There is an older (seasoned) clientele and the location will be better once Wynn builds the Le Reve and the Fronteer is blown up. Besides the buffet, this was a great stay

  • Stayed there for a week, had a real nice time. At check out they offer cap service which is outstanding. Their daily slot tournament is alot of fun and a bargain at only ten dollars. Maid service is as good as any where we have ever stayed. Food is better than most but generally crowded. Figures! Gambling had its ups and downs. Casino was never too crowded. I would definately stay there again and have already made plans to. Jack

  • At the Stardust everything depends on where you stay. Parts of the hotel have been there since the 1950's so you have to be careful to ask for the new tower. I have stayed there about 10 times and have stayed in the garden rooms (have since been torn down), villa rooms (part of the original hotel), the old tower, and the new tower. The new tower is the best by far. But you can sometimes get the villa rooms quiet cheap. All depends on your expectations.

  • I stayed in the West Tower for $24 and it was money well spent. The room was 13239. The room was far from the elevators, but was worth the short walk. 13239 is located on the 32nd floor overlooking the south strip (venetian, treasure island, etc). The view is so great that the only hotels you can't see (that are south of the hotel) are the Trop, Caesars, Excalibur, NYNY, Luxor and Mandalay Bay). You could see the explosions from the pirate battle at night. Another excellent reason to be in that room is because you can see the sunrise and sunset and you can also see the planes at night waiting to approach the airport. The bathroom was average and the ice bucket was small. Elevators were fast and their security is great. The security guard stands by the elevators at the lobby and run your key through a machine to prevent thieves/ robbers from going up to your room and stealing your money (great idea). I would stay at the hotel again because I had a great time while there (even though I lost gambling).

  • I went to vegas on a whim last July. Just packed a bag and we went to vegas for the weekend with absolutely no reservations at all. When I arrived there around 1230am sunday night/monday morning, everything, I mean everything was booked but the Stardust. I was depressed, I didn't want to go and stay in that old dingy thing, but to my amazement, underneath the purple and pink neon lit exterior lies a pretty nice hotel (it does show some age inside though). The counter staff at the checkin area were very nice. We got a room on the 31st floor with a strip view. The room had been recently remodled and upgraded. New carpets and furnishings, not to mention new marble tiled bathroom floor and new fixtures. The room was very nice for the bargain rate of $55. I've heard that not all of the rooms have been renovated, so make sure you ask for a tower room. The casino staff were pretty friendly as well. The pitbosses seemed friendly and approachable, not snobby or stand-offish like at some of the more expensive joints in town. All in all, this old lady has some class.

  • Tower room rating.

  • The West Tower rooms are nice. Bathrooms are average for L.V., but clean and functional. I think the motel rooms are now closed, so you will stay in either the West Tower, or the Villa rooms. The Villa rooms are close to the pool and not as nice as the West Tower. The West Tower rooms are as nice as any standard room in Las Vegas.

  • We stayed in a garden room & it was terribly small(as was the bathroom). It took the longest for room service. I would recommend not staying in a garden room.

  • Tower rooms are nice to very nice. Ask for one high up, facing the Strip, close to the elevator. :) Sometimes you can talk them into a suite in the Villa (old Royal Nevada Hotel) for the same price as a Tower room, but don't tell them I said so. :) The Villa suites are old, but nice and nostalgic. :)
