I dined at China Grill alone last night. Food was decent, Service was excellent, except for the part where the waiter asked me if I had ever been before, and when I replied that I hadn’t, he went into a long scripted speech explaining that China Grill was all about sharing with those at your table, which was sort of silly seeing as how I was sitting there alone with a magazine. You’d think they’d have encountered loners before and would have a second version of the intro to China Grill which doesn’t make the single diner feel uncomfortable.

I ordered the special appetizer which was a sampling of three appetizers – two salads and a beef dumpling, which were all enjoyable. My entree was the special of the day, pork w. spring rolls and sticky rice. The sauce, which was apple and soy, was outstanding.

I’d go back if I was in the neighborhood and needed a bite to eat, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there again, pretty much because there’s plenty of competition and I’d rather try some different options.

I have dined at many a Las Vegas eateries, but this may be “the best!” Food is of high quality (and quanitity) – try the Lobster Mashed Potatoes (more than enough for 3) and the “Drunken Chicken”; we had absolutely no room for dessert, which is rare for me! Service was friendly and attentive; our waiter, especially, was very helpful in going over just about every item on the menu. We had a delightful time here!

One of the only places in town that not only lives up to its hype, but really impressed me. The crackling calamari salad is fabulous, we went through 2 of them !

Absolutely one of the best meals we have ever had. We stopped in to scout the location for a possible wedding reception and got talked into staying for dinner by the staff. We were not disappointed. We split a sampler appetizer that had 3 different items on it, all wonderful. Our entree was equally terriffic and the wasabi mashed potatoes were different and delicious.

Service was wonderful and attentive without being intrusive. Everything is served family style so sharing is encouraged. If you can go with a group, do so.

The decor was interesting and I loved the bathroom pods, although now every time I hear Dave Matthews I have to go to the bathroom. :) It was a great experience, but not a bargain restaurant. Bring your table winnings with you.

I’m looking forward to returning when I’m more hungry so I can try more things.

Thoroughly enjoyed the cross-cultural Asian cuisine. Beautifully presented in small portions, designed for sharing. Service was great. Definitely recommended.
