Had a coupon for 2 free brunch buffets (but not for Sunday when they’re serving champagne) so I gave it a visit.
Covering the breakfast and lunch period (from about 7AM to 3PM on some/most days), this isn’t a bad basic buffet, but it follows Excalibur in making you hop up for your own drinks. Everybody knows I think this is cheap, but we were seated in a former smoking section with our own drink fountain a few feet away so I can’t say it negatively impacted us. Perhaps if we were sat somewhere else it would have; but being able to run soda, fruit juices, and milk to your table quickly is actually a nice benefit.
As far as brunch goes, breakfast stuff tastes better than lunch stuff. Pancakes, waffles, and all the extra trimmings you’d expect are there, as well as the mentioned omelette-to-order station. The carving station and extras, meanwhile, were typical buffet to below average. Mashed potatoes tasted very bland, and the turkey was bad. The dessert station may have more than you can handle, as the usual pies and cakes are out but so are full-sized doughnuts.
Price? $10 per. Which isn’t bad. I haven’t had many breakfast buffets, so I can’t compare, but unless you’re staying in the hotel you’ll probably be visiting this place closer to lunchtime anyway. The other best lunch deal in the area is further downtown at the Golden Nugget, which has a $10 lunch. So which is better? If someone in your party wants breakfast, or if you feel that a wide selection of foods is better than a small selection of higher quality foods, go Strat. Those who want a smaller choice of better-tasting food should just drive on to the Nugget or see if Palace Station is having a special.
Voted Just Average. My expectations were beaten, but they were really low to begin with.

We were excited for the Sunday Champagne brunch. We got there about 1:30pm. I was not impressed with the presentation of the food. Looked dried and not that attractive. I was impressed with the Live Action Station. Not well advertised but there is a chef there that was making omelets to order. Very good. They had plenty of crab legs and some of the patrons were eating there weight in crab legs so I am going to say that those were probably good. I was a bit hung over and did not need seafood or even the Champagne for that matter. I managed to get a energy drink after we at there and I was good until very late that night. I personally would not go back here again.

Not the worst or the best. Just average. The seafood buffet on Sat. nights is best time to go.

I actually ate a breakfast/brunch here twice, but fortunately did not have to pay for either. I did not get the sense that the food was unsafe at all. That being said, I was not at all impressed with the taste and/or selection of the foods. I could not recommend this buffett, but it filled me up and did not make me sick.

Food was barely edible at best. Everything except the coffee (which we had to wait to be refilled) was served at very unsafe temperatures. The Eggs Benedict were not only cold, but were as hard as hockey pucks. I don’t know how the Board of Health doesn’t shut them down. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

We ate here on a comp. voucher with show purchase. There was lots of things to choose from – prime rib, BBQ ribs, pork chops, chicken, fried chicken, chicken strips, pasta, tacos, soups, salads, etc. Fruits and dessert bar. Even the pickiest of eaters could find something to eat.
Staff was friendly -

Very average buffet. Lots of food, just none of it better than average. Service was decent, basically they just seat you and take your plate away. Better for breakfast than anything else. I wouldn’t go out of your way for this buffet, but if you stay at the hotel, it is a decent deal for a quick meal.

The food varied from mediocre to revolting, except the bananas foster and the bread pudding, which were excellent. Noisy too.

We went to the dinner buffet because of a LVA 2 for 1 coupon. The food was barely edible. The selection was minimal. What was there didn’t look good, and it didn’t taste good. I would not go there again even for free. Time in Las Vegas is precious – don’t waste it here.

Had the breakfast buffet and used the LVA 2 for 1 coupon during our trip Sept. of last year. The food was only average. Nothing special. The service people that work here are definitely in need of some additude adjustments. Starting from the cashier, the seating hostess and the bus help we encountered either rude or indifferent service. This buffet IS NOT recommended. I don’t know if I would return even if it was comped. The management at Sratosphere need to correct this situation promptly.

Good service. Bland, boring, your usual buffet you can get at home. Yuck. Don’t go unless it’s free.
