This place is disgusting. I went there for breakfast last week, because we had free coupons for the buffet. Very depressing atmosphere. Had to keep putting so called clean plates on the side, until I could find an actual clean plate to put food on. A lot of them had caked on eggs and food that did not come off in dishwasher. The food is greasy and poor quality. The only decent part of this buffet was the omelet station, which had a nice cook. It was a mixed crowd of decent looking people with some seedy characters too. I will never go back. Do not pay to eat here!

Minimal selection. Sub-cafeteria quality. The price is right though.
It is fine for breakfast, but if you want something enjoyable for lunch or dinner, go elsewhere.

Average buffet, no glamerous food but still very tasty. The best benefit is the price as well as quick seating. It isn’t a bad buffet, just a no frills one.

I think many of the comments here have been overly harsh, after all, the Imperial Palace is NOT Caesars Palace! I’ve eaten at the Emperor’s Buffet a number of times over the years and I’ve never been disappointed. What they deliver is basic buffet food, like at an Old Country Buffet, at a value price, in an unpretentious atmosphere. If you prefer Wolfgang Puck and his gang, look elsewhere. Real people eat here.
They’ve got a fresh salad bar with all of your fixings and several mixed salads and soup, several hot entrees and side dishes, and a decent dessert bar. I love the seafood salad on the salad bar, and I actually had one of the best slices of prime rib I’ve ever had (and I love prime rib!) at the IP Emperor’s Buffet.

Not the worst buffet in Vegas, but pretty close. Too many others worth trying to waste your time here.

Not the best place to eat, but when you just want to
eat a cheap and quick breakfast with only a minimal
amount of pepto-bismal, then this place is okay. The
eggs weren’t good, but they had some good potatoes. Be
prepared to get your drinks as the servers only
remove your plates from the table. The bacon was
just dripping with fat (be sure to sop it up).

I had breakfast at the Imperial Palace Emperorï³ Buffet three times around Christmas, 2001. All were comped. Overall, decent food, but nothing to go out of the way for. Ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, etc. Just what you would expect. French toast (not made to order), and a good selection of sweet rolls and other such sweet stuff. Good, fresh-brewed coffee, and orange juice on tap. A decent meal, especially if its comped.

This buffet always seems to get bad ratings and I don’t know why. I have eaten there MANY times and NEVER went away unhappy. I always found something on the plentiful buffet that was good.

As far as Las Vegas Buffets go, totally unstellar. Average at best. Breakfast was OK. If they offer it free with the hotel stay, go ahead. Otherwise, eat elsewhere.

Breakfast Buffet wasn’t too bad especially for the price. The dinner buffet was decent considering the reputation it has. Short lines anyway.
