If you’re in the neighborhood and really hungry, you’ll get food that’s on par with Rio (keep in mind that IMO Rio is not as good as everyone else makes it out to be.)
Unfortunately there’s two drawbacks that can ruin a visit: One is that there’s too much dining room and not enough kitchen, so on busy days the line for the entree and fixings table is very long, one day the stations were all mixed around with carving station in a corner, mexican food after that, and then fixings like mashed potatoes, and the result was that people got in the huge line for one and found out that another was empty. There was a longer line for sides than there was for main course. Basically, crowd control is bad and management made it worse.
The other thing is that the drink glasses are as small as the Pyramid Cafe’s upstairs and it’s easy to get lazy service or a bad corner were you’ll get ignored.

Lunch is good value, good variety, and excellent salad bar. We have always enjoyed lunch there, but tried the dinner one trip, and were very disappointed. Same food as lunch, with very few changes, and poor quality(maybe sitting there since lunch?) We will return for lunch, but never for dinner. Service has always been very good.

This is one of my favorite buffets. It is inexpensive and has a good variety.

Really average—except for the price. You can go elsewhere and get the same or better for $5-7 cheaper across the board. That’s a wiser bet.

Salad and fruit bar is great. Hot food lacks variety, felt a bit like a cafeteria. The desserts are delicious.

I had breakfast here twice and lunch once. The service was always great, and I only had to wait in line once for about 15 minutes. I stayed at the MGM, but I preferred this buffet. I enjoyed my stay at the MGM, but next time I may stay at the Luxor just for their buffet.

We visited the buffet on several occasions for breakfast. We hit the times well (around 8.30am) as we never queued and it was quiet. The staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. The food was very good with lots of choice, from omlette to sausages to apple crepes (a must!) to muffins to ice cream. We particularly liked the way they show you to a table first before you choose your food… it made it so much more relaxing than Excalibur’s buffet where we had to wait some time with our (hot, soon becoming cold) food before being shown to a table. All in all a good place to eat.

The coolest decor of the Vegas buffets, and the food is excellent too. Good quality and variety.

They had tons of food. There were many different stations
of food from italian to mexican to chinese and beyond.
If you like spinach and you have eaten the spinach salad
at Ristorante Italiano (at the Riviera), then you must
eat the spinach salad here as it is fantastic. The
Chinese food is great with the sweet and sour sauce. The
carrot cake is a good choice for a dessert.

When their buffet was upstairs it was amazing. But then the next year we went they moved it down stairs and we were really disappointed and have not gone back since. The food just wasn’t as good, less choices and it seemed liked they had cheapened it.

We were here on May 30/03. This is one of your average buffets, but very well done. There is just about everything you could want and it was very hot and fresh. We were there at 11:30 and there were still breakfast items to be had which was very nice.

We ate here for breakfast only. The breakfast food is very good; a lot of things to choose from. Out of the three times we ate here the service was good only once. We were even there when it wasn’t busy and it was still hard to get someone to bring us drinks. Most of the time we were finished with our meals before someone asked if we wanted anything to drink.

Food was ok, some of the hot food was cooled off when I returned to my table. Service was outstanding. Theming is great. Bufet is away from the casino which is nice.

Pretty mediocre fare. Despite the tomb excavation set dressing (which I actually liked), the restaurant still has the atmosphere of dining in a hotel basement. Pretty dull. There was no line when I went, but given the so-so fare and limited selection of items, that wasn’t surprising. The buffet is certainly priced competively, but not a place I would recommend if you really want an all-out gluttonous Vegas-style feast.

Shows how strange eating out is.
4 of us, my wife myself, 12 year old son and 19 year old daughter ate here.
My wife and I thought the buffet was average when compared to the Mirage, but my son and daughter both felt that it was far better.
Only goes to show that it is all about opinions.

Ate here for Bkfst and Lunch. Lots of food, tasty and hot. If you time it right, you’ll have short lines. Here’s a tip, go in just before they switch from the lunch menu to the dinner menu and you’ll have the best of both. Best bread pudding I’ve ever had was here.
For dinner, go next door to the buffet at the Excalibur. It costs less and is very good.

I loved the food here! There was a huge selection and the service was incredible! They gave you almost anything you wanted and you didn’t have to wait for it! The lines were a bit short and the cost was about $5.00 over the top but the food was pretty good! The cold food was cold and the hot/warm food was hot/warm! You have to try their ice cream!

Stayed here for 4 nights. Loved the hotel and the room. The buffet was another story. Breakfast was ok – no lines – inexpensive and the food was mostly warm. Not much variety but it had most of the basics. Tried it on a weekday night. DO NOT GO. Food was awful. Service was slow and believe me there wasn’t any crowd. If I was in a hurry, I might try the Breakfast Buffet again but they would have to comp me to the evening buffet and then I still might not go.

This was very OK, just OK. VERY long line and overpriced for what you get. We were staying there and only ate there once. Service was kinda slow.
