A nice value in a large, comfortable setting. Dinner had a carving station of prime rib, ham or turkey. Make you own taco’s, Pasta (alfredo or marinara), fish (trout or mahi mahi), fried or baked chicken, two soups, omlete station, vegetables, rice, meatloaf, three dirrerent types of pizza, salad bar and wide selection of fruit. Lunch was pretty much the same

Ate dinner here a couple of years ago, after realizing that I might pass out if I didn’t find something..soon..
The Sahara Buffett is quiet for the most part and comfortable..and yes it is dark..if you have children..and a lot of the lower middle class tourists here do..they have stuff kids will eat..the Pizza is OK and Fried Chicken is surprisngly good..
However…
There are better values to be had..if you’re looking for fuel and little else..then its OK..coupons that knock some bucks off the price are everywhere..but you get what you pay for..

The food is not as bad as what people say. The food is average for the money. You can get a 2 for 1 coupon when you sign up for a Sahara club card, and also get one at GM’s “The Drive” from a coupon book they give you. Breakfast for 2 for $7.99…. can’t beat that!

First of all, be prepared to hike to the real Sahara to get there … the buffet is placed at the very back of the casino. Once there, get a miner’s lamp because it is incredibly dark and dingy … but they probably don’t want you to see the food. I love simple buffets and detest “high roller” pretentious glitz—but this place is even beneath my humble expectations. Go elsewhere.

Yuck. I really disliked this place and I am not that picky.

We had a free meal for the Sahara Buffet, so we took a taxi from the MGM. The food was edible, but I’m glad we didn’t have to pay for it. Both the MGM and Luxor are so much better.

This was is one of the worst buffets i have ever eaten.
just plain and simple slop. you are better off eating at a food court than to sit and eat this crap.was there june 2002 and i dont think it will get any better.

Love being able to get my own drinks. Don’t have to wait around for a server every time I want to get a refill. They have a good variety of food and a great selection of sugarless desserts.

When I went for lunch recently, it wasn’t crowded at all. No waiting. They have a nice variety, but the quality is lacking.
Some foods seem overcooked or mushy.
For instance, the pizzas “looked” good, but the crust felt soggy not crisp.

This buffet was the worst I’ve eaten in Vegas. Was there on a Sunday afternoon, you could tell many items had been on the bar for several hours. There are many better buffets in town for that price.

Food was awful, you’d be better off going to McDonald’s. The line moved pretty quickly.

This was our first visit to Las Vegas. The Sahara was the best value we found. We ate there twice. Arriving on a Sunday morning, we were caught off-guard by the price of their brunch, ($13) as we had expected normal breakfast prices. But what a late-morning spread! In addition to normal breakfast fare, they cook omelets to order. Also serve prime rib, shrimp, crablegs, champagne and several types of BBQ. Its difficult to rate the service as everything, including drinks, is self-service. So you’re not at the mercy of a server and if you want 3 different kinds of drinks, no problem.

I enjoyed the food. The place was clean. Servers were efficient. Used a $1 off coupon many times. I liked getting my own refill. Basic good food. Breakfast had made to order omelettes. I’ll go back there anytime.

Good, cheap, easy breakfast. Not as long of a line as most other buffets.

Breafast was good, and priced right! Lunch and dinner
were less impressive and cost more. I liked the self-service
beverages so you didn’t have to wait to get a refill.
