As long as I have your ear, have you offered any recent comments on the Las Vegas Hilton? After going downhill for some time, I've heard some good things about the job Colony Capital's Resorts International division is doing with the property. In the 5/18 RJ, there was a column on Andre Rochat's Mistral restaurant in the old Le Montrachet space. Back in the 1980's, when I first went to Vegas and often stayed at The Hilton, it was a first class property and Le Montrachet was a great "Gourmet Room."
I just found out that one of my Hosts at The Hilton, OK Wells, is now at Wynn after a stint at Caesars. She is great.
We'll consider it.
As far as the Hilton goes, no comments recently. I would like to do an in-depth series on off-Strip casinos just like I've been doing for Strip joints.
Just FYI: the Wall Street Journal reviewed Wynn Las Vegas this week. It's worth checking out if you have access to the WSJ Online.
