I'm going to go ahead and guess B for Starbucks. As far as the Strip is concerned, One in the mall, one in Treasure Island, two in the Stratosphere, two in MGM Grand, one in Excalibur, and three(!) in Luxor. That's ten right there, leaving none for off-the-strip but there just isn't the demand for that kind of thing so close to the Strip.

Isn't there at least one Starbucks in Planet Aladdin?

I actually only knew the answers to 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 17-23 without "googling".

Regarding 18, back when the first floorplans of WLV came out in the early stages of its website, I remember the ballrooms being named after famous composers. There were no Beethoven or Mozart ballrooms (thank God--too clich), but they had a Ravel, Debussy, Chopin and I think even a Boulez meeting room among others. Being a musician, I was unhappy to find out they changed the names as the opening rolled closer.

Hey, this is getting interesting....not very important, but interesting. Believe it or not, there is some guy who has more time on his hands than I. His goal is to visit every Starbucks in the world. Here's his site for Las Vegas.

Motoman is right, there is a franchised Starbucks in PH.

Wow, I didn't realize the distinction between corporate-owned and franchised Starbucks (though that model is used in fastfood). So that means the answer must be A or even more, but the guy detroit mentioned will be visiting none of them.

No Starbucks at the PoHo, they are a coffee bean property (because it is the same company). There is however a Starbucks at Paradise and Harmon, Paradise and Flamingo, and two at the University.

Not really sure how far Luxor, MGM, and Excalibur are from Winn, they have to be pushing 2 miles, I would think the University is at least 2.5 miles.

So, my answer is less then ten.

mike_ch: I think there's a 'Bucks at Monte Carlo.

Wynn Trivia Answwers.
These come from Wynn. No guarantees on the answers or my ability to type them correctly. I disagree on the "correct" answer to Starbucks. They must be going further out than two miles.

I was invited to this event as well. Do you think it will be fun?

July 20, 2007 6:45 PM Posted by detroit1051

Mimi, I'm not attending. I really don't care for organized parties like this, but I'm sure Wynn will do it first class.

No, there is a Starbucks at the PoHo:

The only Coffee Bean property I know of on the Strip is the Venetian. (We better stop now or this might rage into a Coke v. Pepsi argument ;))

theres a starbucks AND a coffee bean at the planet hollywood. the starbucks in on the casino floor next to the poker room (but it just closed to remodeling) and there is a coffee bean in the mall near quiksilver

Yeah, I recalled seeing a sign for the non-'bucks coffee shop, trying to find it, and turning a corner into... Starbucks. (But that was back when it was still Aladdin.

(Man, such coffee freaks here! ;-)
