It's been on the LVA site for a little while but I wanted to make sure readers were aware that David McKee's blog, Stiffs and Georges, is back online. McKee is a straight talking Las Vegas gaming biz blogger that's not afraid to call 'em like he sees 'em.

I guess his tactic in that one column to gripe about the discomforts of working in the Review-Journal building, and being moved to the more cynical and cheeky CityLife from the suit-and-tie LVBP, all in one of SMG's own publications didn't work out too well.
At least he's in a place where he won't likely get flack for reporting jokes as breaking news. Professional journalism the LVA is not.
on January 16, 2008 12:06 AMI don't think his column is all truth all the time, but I think it has more truth than any LV business related column. For those of us who are junkies for business of Las Vegas gossip, this is the fix.
Fact check: My "gripe about the discomforts of working in the Review-Journal building" (which I wish I could afford to print on a Bonanza Road billboard) did not appear in my column but in a private e-mail, which one of the regulars here posted online w/o permission.
I *wish* I'd printed it in my column, but I didn't.
