Two Way Hard Three | Las Vegas Casino & Design Blog

So, I'm in Vegas checking out what is new and different and instead of just writing a simple note I decided to record audio as I walked through the properties... So, I guess this is the first Two Way Hard Three 'podcast'. I don't plan on podcasting on any kind of regular basis, this is a convenience thing. It's not short at over 30 minutes.

Anyway, if you don't like to hear people complaining about stuff, this isn't the podcast for you. I listened back and a lot of it is negative - I like talking about how people are screwing up... You have been warned.

NOTE: I recorded this late, late Friday night. I just listened to it again (and edited a bit). It's a little crazy sounding at times, very stream of consciousness. I also sound a little tipsy (never!). Hopefully I won't scare anyone off... Enjoy. I am off to a top secret meeting. Will report back when I have something to report.

Okay, so I have seen the plans for Encore... I will write it up later today... I wasn't allowed to copy the plans but I did do some basic sketches. In a nutshell - looks exciting and different from how I imagined. Viva Encore!

One more thing on Encore before I go - natural light and gardens.

I liked this Audio Walk , but a Video Walk would be even cooler.

You're too kind. :-)

I will be posting a report... I have to run off to LOVE though... So Encore details have to wait. They are worth the wait though. I just met up with reader Detroit1051 at Bellagio and we went over the Encore stuff. It was an interesting conversation.

I can't wait for the details on Encore, Hunter.
This should be very interesting

Honestly, I don't mean to leave you in suspense like this... I just don't want to be late for LOVE.

Ok, I really like LOVE and I will write that up as well.

Right now I am going down to the Country Club for dinner and to write my Encore story, then I'll come back up and post it for you guys.

Thanks for all your insight, Hunter! I won't say much, but from what Hunter told me earlier today, Encore sounds amazing. Can't wait.

Great audio! Had me laughing the whole way.

Really enjoyed listening to the audio - great commentary and hearing the Vegas noises in the background made me desperate to book my next trip!

Regarding the models currently in the Bellagio Conservatory - do you or any other contributors have any photos?

I won't be in Vegas in time to see this - so I'd really appreciate some photos - particularly of the miniature Bellagio . . .

I didn't take any (though my Wynn, Mirage and Palazzo pictures are up on the RV photo set).

I checked out the world's best photo site, Flickr and found these:

I also took a few photos of the Bellagio Conservatory Summer Exhibit, but they don't compare with those on Flickr.

The exhibit is very well done, and the trains chugging through the entire area add a great touch, expecially for the kids who were there. Based on the crowds, this must be one of the most successful exhibits. I am a little concerned, however, that plants and flowers are taking more and more of a backseat in favor of gimmicks and technology.

I waited to get back home before listening to the Audio Walk. Very interesting. Since hunter mentioned "Phantom", this is an appropriate place to provide the link to Monday's USA Today. Be sure to click on the slide show feature. After reading the article, I'm not as doubtful as I was about Phantom's success.

Thanks Hunter / Detroit - great pics - pity I can't make it in time to see it in person.

Hunter -- Awesome observations! Very detailed and insightful, esp. "off the cuff."

Somehow I expected someone much, much older, esp. given the level of sophistication of the postings on this blog in general, not to mention the demographics of the Wynn. Then again who else would have the time and energy to devote to a project like this....

This blog is now a must-read for me, surpassing all the Apple/Mac news and rumor sites that had occupied my limited free time (and that's saying something).

This despite initial suspicions that "Hunter" was the nom de plume of some industry insider feeding teasers to us little fishes. (That Encore report had to be covered by a ream of NDAs, no? ;-)

Thanks.

Yes, some people are surprised when they learn my age (I'll be 27 next month).

It's certainly something I'm passionate about. I'm a computer geek by day, Vegas obsessed by night.

"Phantom" continues to struggle. LV Business Press reports the late show has averaged 25% empty seats during August. The number of performances will be reduced:
