Episode #72 is up!

Thank you all for voting for us in the Trippies. Thanks to you, we took home our first prize. Personally, it's something I've really wanted to win since we started the show. I know Jeff would have been really proud. I can't thank you all enough.

You know, we're still trying to find our way without Jeff. It's tough to find a rhythm. I hope you enjoy this interview, despite the fact that it was somewhat self-indulgent on my part, digging into technical topics that may be more interesting to me than others.

Still, gaming technology is fascinating... and will only become more important - so I recommend you listen.

This time on the show:

- An interview with Aron Ezra and Keith Michel from Bally Technologies.

** Sure Bets **

Chuck - Underpants
Dr. Dave - Fresh Beat Band
Hunter - Instacast

Hunter, great interview. Chuck - your question wasn't foot in mouth at all. Apple is dominant and they have rules out the wazoo which are very pertinant. I think the ultimate question will be does Apple even want to get into this business? I'm thinking probably not for a while. They are making a lot of money doing what they are doing and they have a huge exposure to underaged customers. Keeping porn and gambling off their network is probably a wise move for now. The key to this whole thing is that it is not reliant on Apple. Before the iPhone there was no Angry Birds. Gambling has been around longer and if Apple doesn't want in, there are plenty who will step up. People for which mobile gaming is important will factor this into future device purchases.

Maybe I missed a joke somewhere but what was with the "Chuck the retired blogger" comments?

Chuck's question was a good one...

The jokey bit at the end of the interview was actually recorded before we started - hence no questions had been asked yet... We were pretending that we'd just been through the interview.

The 'retired blogger' thing came from a thread on Twitter before the show started.

Hunter is not telling the truth. Again.
