Wynn Drops B Bar Music

Posted by detroit1051

The Las Vegas Sun reports the B Bar will be turned into a high-rollers lounge:

"Someone got fired, a new guy came in -- they're changing the room we're in now, turning it into a high rollers lounge,"

Wynn needs music in the B Bar and other lounges. Even Bellagio has kept the pianist in Petrossian and music in the Baccarat Bar. If this report is true, I'm disappointed.

Sounds like half a story to me...

I know that the B Bar is shutting down to be renovated. Perhaps that is all that this is.

agreed. I think with the long term plans for encore although currently stalled), Wynn (the property) will be upper end, encore grabbing nascar crowd.

This is the second press report that Wynn was dropping lounge entertainment. The first was in the RJ's "Norm" column on October 12. Neither Norm nor the Sun columnist could get a comment from Wynn.

What's a lounge without music? I'm sure it's only temporary until the changes are complete.

What I find more interesting is that almost the entire back section of the casino from the B Bar all the way through Wynn Watches and Co. is being dedicated to high rollers. Without looking at the map, I think that adds up to almost the same amount of area dedicated to the main casino.

Nevermind, I don't know what I was thinking. It's still a lot of space, but much smaller than the main casino.

One things for sure - Wynn would change anything in an instant if he didn't think it's working - except the name huh.
