Hate to toot my own horn, but this is like something out of the Twilight Zone. Several months ago, mostly out of boredom, I sent Hunter my predictions on Encore's standard rooms and I suggested a partition between living and sleeping areas with a swiveling television inside the partition. Do you remember this, Hunter?

Thanks all for another awesome discussion!

Great discussion. The topic of possible terrorist scares was spot on. It's apparent that Las Vegas is a potential target yet tourists haven't been scared off.

Loved the comment about a 3 am phone call to Oscar Goodman.
I saw a politcal cartoon showing President Hillary Carter receiving a 3 am phone can and handing the receiver to Bill Clinton. The caption read something like ".. it's for you Bill, she didn't say what her name was."

Great as usual. I know I beat this drum, but it'd be fun for the plebeians to get together again. Seems like we never manage to all have free time at the same time though. =/

Will the garden area at Encore be more elaborate than the one at the Wynn? I did not hear much about it in the discussion.

Will the pool be on the ground level?

I enjoyed the discussion but had a problem with it using iTunes. I ended up downloading it from the web site. The version that downloaded in iTunes only had the introduction even though the length was listed as almost an hour. Maybe it was a problem at my end, but wanted to mention it here in case someone else had a similar problem.

Great discussion guys. Where can I see these Majestic numbers? Had no luck looking online.

Unfortunately I don't think they are available to the public. I had a copy leaked to me... Sorry about that. We'll try not to discuss things the audience can't check up on for themselves.

Great chemistry with this group. Chuck describes himself as a buffoon on the board ( on his vegastripping web site ) but his jokes are good. This roundtable just started last month but topics just keep rolling out. It's interesting how each member has his own online place where information is posted but having them all together at an advanced seminar/think tank works to makes for lively discussion.

To any Wynn Resorts employees - can you get me into play days for Encore? I would love to experience that if anyone can make it happen.

Wynn Resorts PR - I know you guys read this blog - this is a good chance to showcase the new resort to a large audience of Las Vegas knowledgeable folks. Let's talk about covering the opening.

I'm not holding my breath but I wanted to get that out there... Hell, I'm sure we'd even do a live recording of the Vegas Gang from a new Encore suite or ballroom! :-)

Hmmm, this looks familiar:

Unfortunately, no attribution as to the source, which I am pretty darn sure was this podcast. That's really too bad - this really really rubs me the wrong way.

What's angering about it, Hunter, is the fact that this guy at VTAT raises all hell when someone on a site uses one of his photos or his information, without citing him as the source. In all honesty, it seems somewhat hypocritical.

Mark at VT&T tells me that this was an oversight that will be corrected.

March 16, 2008 3:19 PM Posted by Mike E

How many times has he "overseen" this issue?

March 16, 2008 4:11 PM Posted by Hunter

More than once. Not sure what to think but I am happy to have it corrected.
