Aliante Station - Contemporary Scottsdale?

Posted by Hunter

An article on the upcoming Aliante Station property opening in November.

As Dave Schwartz pointed out to me, 'contemporary Scottsdale' doesn't really sound all that awesome.

Yeah--is this some kind of interior-design speak or well-known style, or do they literally mean, "this place looks like Scottsdale, Arizona c. 2008?" Because, as much as I like Red Rock, that doesn't sound like what a casino should be.

No, but contemporary Scottsdale sounds awesome to the people that run the homeowner associations and urban planners that develop the housing in that area. After all, Station wants approval from the developers and HOA-controlled communities of Aliante for this thing, and upper-class Phoenix is exactly what they are aiming for.

....... Sorry, rant there.

Darn, I was gonna make fun of the "contemporary Scottsdale" thing but then DGS and Hunter beat me too it. It's a lovely place to visit, Scottsdale, but it packs all the excitement of Saturday afternoon at the shopping mall.
