The presentation had good historical background, and some different perspectives. This is especially good for those who are new to the "Mob era" of Las Vegas.

Enjoyed the lecture. I agree with the lecturer that it is difficult to adequately support the argument that the Mob "ran" Vegas. But while the Mob may never have "run" Vegas it clearly siphoned hundreds of millions of dollars and exerted its own clear (mostly negative) influence during the late '40s, '50s, '60s, '70s and early '80s, downtown and on the Strip. I think the lecturer bends over backward to credit the impact of improved Nevada gaming regulation for the Mob's eventual loss of influence, while I'd say that the availability of bank and junk-bond debt and corporate equity funding also made a significant impact.

The podcast is a valuable addition to the scene for those interested in the business and its history. Keep up the good work!
